The GeoStab network gathers necessary knowledge to analyse, design and construct structures, and to provide solutions to problems in the stabilisation and solidification of problematic materials in the fields of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. The overall aim of the project is to provide durable treatment solutions for the stabilisation and solidification of different types. The main issue of the network is how to reach a design value by treatment from a raw material (soil, tailings, etc.) and to how assess the time-dependant alteration of these performances because of on-site conditions (climate, water circulation, etc.).
The kick-off meeting of the GeoStab network held the 26th of November in Paris permitted to identify three main workgroups, each being associated to a specific context of application.
